Every child receives a Passport, where they collect stamps from each pavillion and some exhibitors. When they have collected them all they drop their entry in the box outside the Secretary's office and at 4pm on Sunday the bikes are drawn.

Every paying adult entry ticket can be placed in the entry barrel outside the Secretary's office to be in the cash draw (Jackpotting if not won, see show office for details).

 

ACTION OF THE SHOW

The 2010 Pine Rivers Show is going to be bigger and better than ever!!! Major redevelopment on the ground has seen more room for lots more displays around the centre ringe. Ashton's Circus makes an appearance this year with 4 shows daily. Between performances the big top will be the hub of entertainment with Prima Musical Group performing both Saturday and Sunday with their Musical Extravaganza!!

There will be tent pitching by Murrumba District scouts, sheep shearing & blacksmithing display, Australian Living History Display, the famous “Jondaryan Woolshed” display and the Dreamtime Reptile Display. You will also be able to witness a kitchen fire by the Fire Brigade and how to control it, turn your hand at the Club Pine Rivers – Lawn Bowls Green, pat a cuddly koala or enjoy a camel ride.. For the kids and kids at heart there is great fun to be had watching the Professor Wallace Puppet Show.

The famous KAOS Motorbikes return again in 2010 with not one but two backflip stunt riders with 2 shows on Friday night ending with fireworks at 8pm. Saturday night again sees the thrill seeking rodeo (which will be a points awarded rodeo) followed by fireworks at 9pm. The ever exciting pig racing is not to missed with 4 races daily – come and cheer on your favourite and maybe even win a prize!! The grand parade will feature at 1.30pm on Saturday in Centre Ring, get you seats for all the action and watch the dog agility trials.

Centre Stage in the food court will host daily demonstrations of sausage making by famous brendale butcher "Terry Orreal". Music and Entertainment will be featured on this stage continuously.

Loads more attractions will be found in our 31m x 18m pavillion situated around the centre ring. Some of the displays you will find inside will be an interactive pottery and lapidary display, Theo Nursery with resident green thumb guru "Russell" doing daily talks and plant clinics, candlemaking and the adorable "adopt a greyhound" stall.

Travelling around the show has never been easier with the Club Pine Rivers Train – it stops at various stations around the grounds and best of all it’s FREE!!

Debuting at this years show is the ever exciting game of "Cowboy Polo". The thrill of seeing these skilled riders playing polo on horseback is not to be missed. For the animal enthusiasts there will be flyball dog competition all day on Sunday.

The Boer & Commercial Goat section will be holding the Qld championships at this years show, and you will be able to see their judging for the three days of the show. New to the 2010 show will be displays of Alpacas and sheep judging.

We now feature pig racing every day; animal farm for the young ones to pet and feed the baby animals; Cattle (Saturday), Poultry (display with demonstrations of poultry grooming -Saturday, JUDGING Sunday); Horses (Fri, Sun); Dogs (Saturday), Budgerigars (Fri, Sat & Sun) and Guinea Pigs (Fri, Sat, & Sun).

The exquisite displays of Arts & Crafts, Needlework, Cookery, Floral Art, Potted Plants and Flowers, Fruit & Vegetables, and Photography can be seen displayed every day of the show. Come and see the largest woodchop competition other than the EKKA, 2 days of action packed woodchops on Saturday and Sunday. The Lions Hall is packed with exhibitors and the winning school from our Wine Judging competition. The Education Pavillion features all the school displays as well as the hotly contested colouring in competition. This year will see the Pine Rivers High School F1 racing cars with their interactive demonstration.

Side Show Alley will feature all the littlies rides in the one area and have all the hirdy girdy for the not so faint hearted. There will also be the clowns and ducks for those wanting a little less excitement.
